Hearing Jesus  Part 1

By Ken Fletcher

“Believer, why aren’t you hearing Jesus in your mind? This is a huge question. The leading and direction of the Lord is paramount to the believer. If we don’t perceive His leading, then we are probably going to be missing His will. And, eventually find ourselves in a mess. Maybe a lot of messes!

Why? We did not hear from the Lord and do what He said. He does not lead us into evil. He is our solution! He leads us in His wisdom and foresight for us in His will! He performs His word in us who believe.

Why are we so dull of hearing? There can be many reasons. But, one big reason, I believe the main reason, is that Jesus is not really the center of our lives like He should be. We sort of approach Him as if He’s a religion once in a while. We tip Him with the tithe (ten percent) and an offering, etc. at the church. We feel like we are doing most everything we’re suppose to do. So we think we’re good. Shouldn’t we be hearing Jesus clearly on His particular will for us individually? Not just once in a while, but all the time?

Well, I can’t speak for anyone else but myself. But, before, I had to pray a long time to hear a little bit from Him. My religious and un-renewed mind would limit me from hearing true what He was saying. I had always felt that I was not very clear on some things with Jesus. But, I was thankful for what things I did pick up.

I have found that one of the reasons, the main reason, that we don’t hear Him clearly is we have not given Him everything. I mean complete from top to bottom and side to side everything! All is all! Not a percentage of what is His and what is ours, etc. That’s garbage!

You don’t give Jesus a percentage of yourself! But, that’s how some see it and preach it. You know, in finances they preach, you keep 90% for you and God’s part is 10%, and you can give more out of your part of the 90% if you want. Finances absolutely do represent your time–your life!

Well, I guess the 10% is better than nothing. But, listen, dear believer, this is the New–We’re living in the New Covenant with Jesus–the old has been completely fulfilled in Him! All things are new in Jesus, my friend! All is complete in Him! All we have is His! All He has is ours! Not a percentage! We are gladly willing to do anything He directs. Family, financially, physically, mentally, emotionally, in any place we find ourselves. It should all be His as far as we are concerned! See the difference? Not partial. But all!

Who was Jesus impressed with when He was observing the offerings being given at the Temple? Was it the prosperous people who gave large sums of money?–A percentage of their wealth. No, my friend. It was the little widow woman, who gave her 2 mites. A tiny offering. But, it was all she had. It was everything! All! Though it was tiny, it was more than all the other amounts!

You see? She gave it all. She moved herself into miracle territory when she did that! I can assure you, abundance was already on it’s way to her to meet her need! She obviously did this in faith since it was her whole living! Why did she do that? She loved God and trusted God with her life!

Does that mean that we’re supposed to clean out our accounts and give it to the church or missions, some person, or something? Well, if it’s really all the Lord’s, if He calls for it, yes! Can we trust Him with our future completely? Yes, of course. If He calls for it, don’t you realize that He already has other provision coming for us and ours? But, it takes faith to do that! Just like the little widow woman had faith to do what she did!

Jesus knows our needs better than we do. He knows how much we need before we do. He knows how much we will need every day into the future. He wants us to have abundance for our needs and plenty left over for whatever He directs us to do. That is Father’s will for us! It’s all about Jesus, my friend! It’s all His! He takes such good care of us! And, we just want to do His will on the earth–whatever that might be.

When we realize who we really are in Christ, we awaken to the reality of our one-ness with Him! Giving Him all that we possess and will possess, and we are doing this giving 100% to Jesus by an act of our own will. From then on. That’s when things clear up between us and Jesus.

Listen, we are blended together in life inside with Jesus! We are one with Him! He is our head! We are His body! We should be hearing from the head of the church clear as a bell inside! But, I know, most do not! I did not! For many many years!

I was doing the best I could like any growing believer that’s muddling through immaturity & religion. But, this article is to simply help you to realize that it is possible to be thought to thought with Jesus inside! It’s possible to be instant micro second to micro second direction inside with Him.

I have experienced this. I really needed it at the time! I was in a bad condition! Attacked! He directed me through successfully and I came out fine! Thought to thought instant to instant direction and wisdom! Yes! It’s possible, my friend!

But, also, another thing is, the desire in our heart. This is where we can get clearer with Jesus. What do you really desire in your heart? Do you desire to be thought to thought with Jesus? He hears all of your thoughts. We can hear all His thoughts directed to us inside. It’s true!

I did not think it was possible until I experienced it myself. Most all believers do not know what it means. But they should. We are all one with Him. He will communicate in thoughts to us all. We’ve got to get the ground noise out of the way. All the selfish willful stuff needs to be trashed.

Some believers do not want to give Jesus everything. And so, their own will is in charge in a few, many, or most things in their lives. The person who’s total will is not submitted to Jesus is going to unconsciously cloud and obscure what Jesus is trying to lead them into.

Our mind is a busy place. Lots of input coming in all the time. Feelings get involved by what we are thinking about. So, our will, not truly submitted to the will of Jesus, is going to always see things apart from His best for us. Simply because we have such limited knowledge and understanding.

So, even when our own will is running things, He always does His best to help us all that He can. But, it will not be His best for us. We will be settling for something less. In my estimation, to hear Jesus thought to thought clearly we must have given our will, or all we know how to give, to Him freely without any reserve.–For Him to direct us in any way He wishes. Then, our will is out of the way for Jesus to give us His true direction on anything.

Then, at that point, we believe what He is communicating to us as His true word. Because our will is out of His way. We just want to do what He wants to do–whatever that is! We open our heart all the way willingly. Giving Him all that we are! Then, we will hear true!

We believe and act on what He has said. He never speaks anything that is not in line with His word, the Bible. Never! Now, any believer being able to hear His direction in their thoughts should not be abnormal at all. It should be the norm for all believers. But, there are a lot of distractions in this world, as we all know. So, through the desire in our heart, we decide to focus on Him and His thoughts inside, having given Him all we are.”
