You ask me how I know He lives,
He lives within my heart.”
“This is a song we used to sing at church when I was a boy in the 50s. Those saints in those days knew God. They knew Jesus! They walked with Him daily. They prayed in faith! I was privileged to have an extraordinary and amazing praying godly mother. I would not still be here on earth without her faith-filled prayers that she prayed for me. When I went astray, she got a hold of God for me. Along with my Dad and family and church family and friends. All these people who knew God and had faith in Him in this life!
Here it is 2026 already. I was just starting to get used to 2025. But, time is marching on. The kids are grown up now. The world is a much different place than when I was a boy. But, God graces all who put their trust in Him no matter what the generation is.
My prayer for this generation that is coming along now is that they would come to really know Jesus in their hearts. Like the old saints knew Jesus. To understand their union with Him. To seek His truth and way in their own lives. To impress upon them the value of Jesus’s way always. Every other way than His way is substandard.
That they would comprehend their part in His grand plan. That they would not settle for just the temporary things of this world, but seek true treasure and fulfillment in Christ. That they would comprehend the reality of what is really going on here on earth. That they would comprehend what is really important in life. That they would quickly arrive at the understanding of who they are in Christ! This is my prayer for these young ones coming up.
Choose to do good, and resist evil. Choose to give Jesus your life. Choose to seek what He has for you! Reach for His best! Don’t settle! That’s what I would say to these coming up. Know your Bible. Understand it! Some of you need to go to a good Bible school to prepare! I’ve got a few good recommendations! The important thing is, seek Jesus with a true heart. He will lead you.
There is nothing better than knowing Jesus! To know Jesus is to be able to know ourselves! He knows us. All of us! And, in our present condition down here on earth, we need Him to reveal to us who and what we are in Him now!
This next generation is so smart and advanced. When they really get hold of Jesus, it is going to be something to see! Who knows what will happen with them and Jesus? I believe it will be amazing!
Those old saints of the past have prayed and believed–preparing the way for us. They have passed the baton to us and us to the next ones. What’s the bottom line? That this generation know Jesus for themselves. That they know His word for themselves. That they understand how to live by faith in Him and His words.
That they would see the value of giving their whole lives to Jesus to guide and direct. What else matters or is more important that this? I say nothing! There is nothing more important than following Jesus! Nothing!
He is either our Lord or He is not. Are we the Lord of our own lives or is Jesus? If Jesus truly is not just our Savior, but also our Lord, then He should have the say so about the details, and direction, and purpose of our lives! Yes, He should!
But, even though that is true, He still leaves it up to us. He gave us a free will to decide for ourselves. And, so, He doesn’t want “yes men or women” or pre-programed robots, He wants a relationship based upon love and trust. We grow in our understanding of this amazing relationship together with Jesus. We GET to choose Him and His way!
Why choose another way than His, young person? You think you know more than Jesus does about what you should be about? Well, I can assure you that you don’t! And, if you are a wise young person, you will see and understand that this present material world is chaotic, and a big ball of confusion, and headed for destruction eventually.
If you are wise, you will see and comprehend the working of the devils behind the scenes manipulating the narratives and the minds of humans on the planet. If you are wise, you will seek the truth. And, when you find the truth, you will find Jesus!
The truth of Jesus is where we must arrive if we want to understand the workings of this world. If we want to see through it’s deceptions, that is! Well, I don’t know about you, but I want to understand the truth of what is really going on. And, in order to do that, I must have Jesus and the real truth about what is going on under our noses.
Young person, you have a lot to learn and understand. If you are wise, you will seek the wisdom of God. You will search it out You will read and assimilate God’s word. You will learn to divide it correctly. Understanding God’s guidance through His scriptures.
I wasted some years before I came to understand Jesus. It’s a growth of understanding with Him. What you may think you understand about this life, you only have a partial part of the total. Jesus has the total understanding about us. And, He wants to help us by guiding us in His way.
We do not have to understand the total of things. Because, many times, we are not able to comprehend all about it. But He does! And, through our faith and trust in Him, we can know what we need to know to bring us successfully into His great will for us.
I remember a Christmas card that was sent to us years ago that showed a picture of the wise men who sought for the baby Jesus when He was born. It said, “Wise Men Still Seek Him”. And that is so true! The wisdom of this world will pass away. But, God’s wisdom is forever.
You can read His Word and get to know God. You can find out what He has done. They are great things! You can find out how to connect to Him through faith. You can receive His wisdom in your situation. You can find the path with Him to walk and live in faith.
You can be prosperous because it is His will. You can be healed because it is His will. You can have real success in life following Jesus in your choices. He wants the best for you and I.
Personally, I want His best for my life. He and His Word is the answer to life’s many challenges. The wise young person will seek Him and find real direction for their lives. And, THAT is what is important for each one of you!
If you are reading this, and you do not know where you are with God, you can know today! You can decide to turn it all over to Jesus. You can go forward today with His direction. Knowing He is with you always as you begin 2026. You can simply call on Him from your heart and receive Jesus for yourself. No one can keep you from it! It’s your choice to receive Him and His eternal life!
Your future can change radically! You can live with Jesus today and every day! Everything with Jesus is good! There are no negatives in Him. It’s the best thing you can do in this brand new year! You can really know Jesus like the old time saints did! Give your life to Jesus!” KF KenFletcher.org
