“No one knows us like Jesus. He sees and understands all the thoughts of our soul. All the why’s and all the feelings. And, He completely understands our perspective as no other man or woman can ever do. He shares our deepest desires and motivations. He knows who and what we are through and through. There is nothing that He does not see and understand within us.
Jesus does not condemn us even when we miss it. Instead, He gently directs us into His best. He helps us to think right. To get the right perspective. And, Jesus helps us understand reality. He takes what we give Him and turns it into good. That is what Jesus does. We realize more than ever as we mature in our understanding that Jesus always leads us into His best. That is, if we will listen and follow Him.
Maybe you find yourself in a place that you thought would be great, but instead it has turned out sour for you. Do not despair, my friend. All is not lost. Jesus knows how to lead you to a good place. Perhaps it will be a process. Or, it could be sudden. But, it all hinges upon you and I giving Him our complete lives in total to work with.
We must look to Him in faith for our direction and purpose. I ask Jesus often, Do you have everything? Why do I ask Him that? Because, it’s possible I could deceive myself thinking that he has all of me when He really doesn’t. So, I want to hear it from Him–Who sees everything about me.–Who will always tell me the truth.
I want to know the truth! So, I get it right from Jesus whether I am totally all His or if I have a selfish motivation somewhere inside. If Jesus really has all of us, then we can confidently expect to be directed by Him in life into His best for us.
It is amazing to see what He can do when He has it all. Too many believers are living partially consecrated lives. Only giving Jesus portions of themselves. Friend, Jesus wants ALL of us! Every dollar, every cent! Every situation. Every family member. Every possession. Every worry and fear. All the past. All the present. All the future. Everything about us! That is what He wants!
If we are smart, we will happily and joyfully give Jesus every part of our lives! And, then, He can do things with us that are miraculous! I have been amazed at Jesus and what He has done. We should absolutely only want to live with our lives completely submitted and committed to the Lord all the time!
Once a believer finds out what this life of faith is all about, then he or she will be amazed at what the Lord does in their life. The life of faith is a life of dependency upon the Lord inside. His Word and His direction is all that matters. If we will learn to listen and be directed by His Spirit within our soul, we will find the pathway to victory.
He will lead us into His best. He will lead anyone out of poverty. Out of sickness and disease. Out of mental anguish and depression. Out of bondage to the devil in any way. Out of deception. Out of fear. Out of impossible situations. Jesus is greater! And, He knows the way! Jesus is for us not against us! He is on your side! He is on my side!
His desire and plan for us is always good. I believe people resist Him simply because they have a wrong perception of Jesus. It may have come from religion somewhere. Or maybe a family member. Or maybe a terrible situation that they have been involved with. If people only knew the real truth about Jesus, they would run to Him.
But, they have been fed lies. And, they have believed them. But, even if they have, they can believe in His love–the love He displayed as He hung on the cross to pay for all our sin and lost condition before God. Once you know Jesus, you will understand how good He truly is. And, as we live by faith in Him, we learn to trust Him with everything!
The selfish-willed person is a person who will end up lacking. They start out thinking their own selfish will is going to satisfy them. But, it won’t. In some portions of their lives they will be in dry places. Their soul won’t be satisfied. Somewhere, in their lives there will be deep dissatisfaction. They will end up regretting a lot of things.
That is the nature of the arrival place of our own will and direction. We could end up in a tragic place. A destructive place. A depression place. A fearful place. If Jesus does not have the steering wheel of our lives, there is no telling where we could end up!
Some people find themselves in bondage to sin in wrong relationships, etc. Not realizing it, what they are doing is putting themselves in the devil’s territory to bring attacks upon them! What should they do? Remove themselves out of the situation! Follow Jesus out of enemy territory! If they want change, they should simply listen to Jesus for the way up and out!
But, many are unwilling to do that. And, so they end up with what they end up with. That is not what Jesus wants for them or us. But, we have a will of our own, do we not? And, what we do with our own will is up to us.
Well, I have found that my own will is not what I want. I have found that Jesus’s will is what I want. So, I give Him mine to direct in His will. Do I get it perfect all the time? Nope! But, I’m endeavoring to always keep it there. Because, I have learned, His will is really always the best for me.
I hope you will consider what I have written. Are you about doing your own thing? Well, I can tell you that if you are, you will be missing out on the life of faith with Jesus. I hope you will see the wisdom and value of giving your life in total to Jesus from now on.” KF KenFletcher.org
