“Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. A double minded man (or woman) is unstable in all his ways. Wavering is double mindedness. Double mindedness is fluctuating between two things. Moving like a wave. Not stable. What’s actually happening is faith and doubt are trying to occupy the same space in our heart!
The doubt pollutes the heart (the core of our being) and cancels out our faith in God. We cannot allow any doubt in God’s word because it will short circuit the faith that’s in our heart. Let not that man or woman think that they shall receive ANYTHING from God! These factual truths are found in the book of James in the Bible.
In Mark 11:24, Jesus said, “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Do we understand that the doubt in our heart is shutting us out of receiving from God? Well, as they say, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee! Awaken to reality! The doubt in God is why our prayers are not working!
We may be like a wave in motion–believing one moment and then doubting another. No. That will not work and never has worked with God! No! We have to run the doubt out of our being if we want to see our faith become sight!
For us believers, we should be completely filled with faith–fully persuaded in our heart–speaking it out our mouth. Acting like the Word is true! Fully trusting in our faithful God who cannot lie! THAT is what brings the victory!” KF KenFletcher.org
