In doing what he did, Adam transferred his God-given Authority over the earth to an evil fallen angel, Satan. Satan became the god of this world instead of Adam and his decedents! Death came into this realm. Death, and all of it’s horrible realities came into God’s perfect creation. Death came into us. We were all in Adam, the first man.
Why are we so important to God? Because we came out of Him! We are OF Him! We were separated from Him. Doomed to being separated and in darkness unable in any way to escape the now, god of this world, Satan! That’s the way it was! Death reigned over us throughout the blood-line! Separation from Father with no way for us to get to Him.
He saw and understood our desperate situation. While we were yet sinners, Jesus died for the ungodly. He died and rose again to bridge the insurmountable gap between us and a Holy God! We could not approach Him before! But, since Jesus brought us into one-ness again with God, we have access all the time to the Throne of God without restriction!
What are we now since we have received Jesus? We have been made the righteousness of God in Christ! Righteousness is an old english word that simply means we are in right-standing with God. Since we are in Christ, we now are joined in Christ. We have been created IN righteousness in Christ! Our nature has been changed inside!
We are unified. We are connected and infused with the Spirit of God now! Jesus is in us always. We have been made co-heirs–joint heirs with Jesus! We are part of Him now! Who are we in Christ? We are members in the Royal Family. God’s Family!
We have His nature. We have His very own eternal life now! It’s all so amazing that the Father and Jesus loved us so much that they would not be happy to be without us! They had to have us no matter what it cost to get us back! God the Father gave it all to get us back! And, it took Jesus being willing to follow the Father’s great plan of salvation and actually come and be born into a man’s body.
To be willing to be tortured and murdered for us! What a plan! What courage and commitment it took for Jesus to accomplish Father’s plan. I am so glad that He came for us. I am a recipient of His grace. I am so thankful and always will be throughout eternity!
I did not deserve any of what He did! I did not deserve Jesus! But, He came for me anyway! Because, when I did not know that I needed Him so bad, He knew. And now, we are together! And, nothing is the same anymore because of it!
I know I have Him. I know where my home is! With Jesus! Wherever He is, that’s the place where I want to be. To me, Jesus is what makes heaven heaven. To me, it would not be heaven without Him. He IS the Lord Of Life to us ALL! There is no eternal life apart from Him!
Jesus deserves much more praise and thanksgiving than I know how to give! A million years of me praising Him in heaven is not near enough! Who am I? That the Lord of Glory would come down here and give Himself to die as a sacrifice for my sin. It is almost incomprehensible!
But, I believe in what He said. And, I believe in what He did. And, now life is different than before. Who am I? The man who Jesus gave everything to have! That’s me! That’s you! That is us all!” KF KenFletcher.org
