We’re Already There

By Ken Fletcher

You know friend, there are many scriptures we can believe and act upon in our lives. So much so that it is hard to grasp the unlimited nature of our relationship with God. Listen believer, we need to expand our understanding about who we are in our relationship with God.

Do you see yourself the way the scriptures say you are? How about where you are? How about what you can do as a child of God? We need major mind renewal in these areas. We believers need to elevate our perception to match what the Word says concerning us in Christ.

I believe the major problem in the present day earthly body of Christ is we need revelation from God inside! We need an inward vision of ourselves that reflects what God has said about us. We need to see ourselves inside as Jesus sees us.

Our fusion with Jesus is complete! Therefore we should be perceiving ourselves as He says we are. The things we cannot perceive about ourselves in this life, we accept what Jesus says about it by faith. We walk (or live) by faith, not by sight.

We are God’s very own. We have Him now! He has us now! Anything He says we can do, we can do. Anything He says we are, we are! We have His Spirit now! We’re connected by the Spirit to the Godhead! What an amazing thought! What an amazing truth! Can we experience God? Yes! Anytime!

We’re already there! We are one with Him! Do we see ourselves the way He sees us? Are we abiding in the truth of who we really are? If the body of Christ discovers who they are now with Jesus, it would transform the world.

My friend, we should grow in the knowledge of Christ. He is in us, we are in Him. To know Jesus is to know yourself. We are created in His image! Unified with Him in eternal life. Sharing His life. Abiding in His life. Receiving His wisdom. Believing His Word and living in it by faith.

What is in Jesus, is in you! It’s who you are now! We don’t try an live for Jesus. We just discover who we are now created to be and just live from the inside out! Then, we simply dominate what the flesh wants to do that’s contrary to the will of God. We learn to live from who we are on the inside. We live according to what the Lord is leading us to do. That is the best place to be in life, my friend.

We learn to do everything by faith, not by fear. I have to check myself sometimes. Am I doing this or that because I am afraid or because I am in faith? Fear and worry are sneaky. You may find yourself being motivated by fear. That is a big mistake! We must do what we do because we’re in faith.

That means we must hear from God. What is Jesus leading us to do. That is the important thing! To do His will is to believe what He has said to us and do it by faith. Sometimes, it is something very simple. A little adjustment you may need to make. And then, you find yourself on your way!

We limit Jesus so much! He wants to do so much more in our lives! But, we mostly limit Him unknowingly. Not realizing that we could do things His way in faith with totally different outcomes! That is why we need to ask the Father for wisdom each day. So that we can live in His best for us.

He will always give wisdom to us, His children, if we ask Him! If we don’t doubt! We shall have it when we need it. It is just one of the great privileges we have as His children.

We have the same access to Father as Jesus does! Boy, that’s a big statement! But, it is true. Since we are in Christ, we are seated right next to the Father–just like Jesus is because we are in Him as part of His body! That is who we are now!

We have not elevated ourselves to this place. How could one do that? Impossible! We have been the recipient to God’s grace in Christ. We have received His amazing gift of love. And, God Himself has declared us righteous before Him in Christ. God HAS raised us up together with Christ. And, HAS ALREADY made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ. God has done this in us! This is where we are now because of Jesus!

Do most believers understand this? Do most believers see themselves this way? I think not. If we really have the revelation of this reality, it changes everything. We begin to perceive ourselves the way Jesus sees us. We begin to get a glimpse of our amazing union with Christ.

Our spiritual eyes begin to lift to the possibilities of what it all means. The reality of Christ in us means we have the Kingdom of God within us. So, we have the Kingdom of God in us now walking around on earth in sinful fleshly bodies!

Who we are is what God has made us to be. The outward man is perishing. But the inward man is being renewed day by day. The spirit is life. Doing things after the spirit brings eternal profit. Doing things after the flesh does not profit us. Because it is all passing away.

That which is imperfect will be done away with in the end. Afterward, we will only experience God’s perfection. We live in faith looking expectantly for the day when we will see Jesus face to face in glory. Until then, we listen to Him and commune with Him inside our soul.” KF KenFletcher.org
