“What is it? What is it not? Real Bible faith comes by us hearing what God has said. When we hear what God has said to us, at that point, we can believe it. We can also doubt it. God has spoken many things to us. A lot of times, we have passed over what He was saying.
Knowing God is knowing His character and integrity. He does not have the capacity to lie or tell us an untruth! Never! In knowing that about Him, why do we doubt what He is saying? I want to be more convinced than ever.what He saying to me.
I want to be more certain. More convinced of His leading. More persuaded in my heart. I want to know His will in particular for me. I desire that! I desire His wisdom and understanding. Don’t you? This is true treasure for us, dear friend!
To step in faith is to be certain of God’s will and acting upon it. For instance, Jesus could tell you to wait. As He has told me sometimes. And, instead of doing something, even when it looks like we should do something, you and I believe Him and wait. That is a step of faith! That is acting on His word in spite of what you see and understand. Waiting can be stepping in faith.
God’s knows us so well. He knows what we can handle. And, He is not going to tell us something to do that is above what our faith level is. He will challenge our faith. Inspire us to believing more and more. He will instruct us how to enlarge our faith. So, everything He says to us, we can do!
The question is, will we decide to do it or not? If we’re not doing it, it’s probably unbelief that is working in us. Friend, we must eradicate all doubt out of our being. Whatever it may be. We’ve got to concentrate on what He said! We’ve got to decide not to succumb to the doubt and cast it from us.
It takes a choice to believe God and not to doubt what He has said to us! As God’s children, we are set to see miracles. Look who we are in union with! How does it happen? Many times miracles come to us by simply believing and obeying what Jesus has directed us to do. Our response of faith to His words in us causes us to live in the supernatural.
Hearing from Jesus inside is our personal direction. I have heard Him say things to me in the past that I did not respond to. I know. How terrible that is! I despise that! But, I think if we all were honest, we would have to say that we’ve all done it to some degree. I do not want to do that any more! I want to instantly respond to what He is telling me to do. No matter how silly it may look to myself or others.
Friend, we have a great privilege to hear from the head of the church, Jesus! We can be led by Him every day! We can hear from Him on all the affairs of life. Are we seeking Him like that? We should be. Because, otherwise, we miss out on so much that Jesus is trying to show us!
To hear His words, and to be completely persuaded about them within our heart, we can act upon them in confidence! We shall have what He said we will have!
Many times, I do not understand why He tells me to do this or do that. I cannot see on the other side of things. It’s all blind to me. But, it’s not to Him! He sees it all clearly, and so, when He directs me a certain way, He may not give me the details on why! Most the time He doesn’t.
So, here is where trust comes in. I trust Him with my life. So, even though I cannot see why He directs me a certain way, I believe Him, and I go that way. At least, I should say, I’m getting better with it. Mainly because I am hearing Him clearer than I used to.
After a while, you get more and more confident of what He is saying to you in your heart. I must say also that to hear Jesus clearly and purely, you must have given Him your life in total. Otherwise, the word you receive will be tinted in the color of your own will. And, you don’t want that. Not really.
You want the pure, true, uncolored, will of God for you! That is what you want! And, you can get it! God is excited to work with us. He loves to be included in everything we do. And, He should be! He ever dwells in our soul 24/7. Should we not include Him in everything? I think so!
I want to include Him more! Find out what He thinks about it! Living and stepping in faith should be as unconscious as breathing to us. I am finding that I move in faith sometimes and did not realize it at the time. Then, I look back later and see it. Sort of unconsciously moving in faith. I want more of that!
Well, our relationship with God only deepens. Our perception of Him should expand within us! We should magnify the Lord within our heart. How good He is to us! And, He wants to do more. If we expand the scope of our faith, we can see more! It’s up to us how much of God we realize! It’s up to our own desire in our heart!
Too many believers just want a surface relationship with God. But, oh the goodies they are missing out on! God wants to do so much more. But, it’s according to our faith. Let’s learn to respond to each word that Jesus speaks to us.
Let’s learn to trust Him. Oh, for grace to trust Him more! Let’s really give it all to Jesus in this life and allow Him to guide us into His will for us! Then, we’ll be stepping in faith towards the destiny He has planned for us.” KF KenFletcher.org
