“Studying the Word, we find there is another element that is often ignored or not even thought about. That is, concerning the Nephilim. They were the offspring of fallen “sons of God”. These spiritual beings lusted after and went in to earthly women and produced giants as their offspring. These giants ruled over the other humans on the earth cruelly and violently.
Now, even the gene pool was polluted on earth along with all the other widespread evil being unleashed. The Bible describes that violence filled the earth in those days. So much so that God grieved in His heart about even making mankind. Man only thought on evil continually. Earth was a very evil place to be before the flood, my friend.
But, consider, before sin entered in, things were perfect. I mean really perfect! Everything! Climate was perfect. Everywhere! Everything watered. No weather patterns or storms. No wild winds. No earthquakes. No volcanos, The earth was stable! No evil existed here.
Peace and tranquility was everywhere. Even work was fun and positive. Nothing to fear! Nothing hurt! Nothing to break down or get old! Even the very cells of our earthly bodies were created to regenerate every 7 years. Perpetually! Never to die, get sick, or get old!
The original created earth had no evil bacteria or any such thing that would hurt or even be uncomfortable for us. The way God created mankind in the beginning was Adam and Eve, along with us children who were in them to come after. We were never to die! In any way! Death was foreign to them. They really did not know about it–except what God had told them.
There was no way they could understand the total consequences, for them and us, of what it meant to die. Because, everything on earth was alive and did not die or get sick, etc. Before the fall, it was completely different in the original creation because there was no manifestation of death anywhere! That is, until sin came in.
When sin came in, death and all of it’s many different evil forms came in to effect the earth and the people who were born on it. When sin came in, we humans became separated from God and His eternal life. When sin came in, the law of sin and death came into effect!

This happened after the flood. It happened in the new eco system not the original one. Where do flies come from? Where do maggots come from? Stop and think! Where does decay come from? This earth used to be a different place! Many things got perverted in the fall of man! Even insects, animals, trees, all kinds of perversions of what was before perfect, in sync with everything, and full of life. God does all things well. Mankind are the ones that opened up the floodgates of hell on earth!
Because of sin, the new eco system means things were completely different now. Bad bacteria is all over now. Viruses. Disease of all kinds. Poverty. Decay and death is the norm in the new eco system. But, why? It was the manifestation of the fallen earth. Weather patterns, clouds and storms, etc.
In the new eco system of the earth, mankind’s life duration was sharply cut from 700, 800, even over 900 years, to average 120 years. Even the most evil men and women can’t perpetuate their evil but for a very short time on earth, then their bodies die, and they are done down here! Then, they face the judgement in front of God. Some people’s sins go before them to the Judgement. Other people’s sins follow them there.
As the years progressed, the earth began to be progressively more and more violent and unstable as it was out of whack from the original perfect creation. Volcanos, tornadoes, hurricanes, high winds, droughts, floods, etc. The world is now a completely different place than it was before originally.
No more water canopy above anymore. It all came down to earth during the flood, and also water beneath the earth came up. All of that water! Could it be that the water that was above the sky before the flood, that rained down during the flood, that rain that fell from above, is it how in our present world eco system the oceans came to be? Quite possible! It could be!
I know that in the new heaven and earth, (that God will create after this present world is destroyed), that new earth is described as having no sea. So, perhaps the original earth in the beginning had no sea either before the flood.
We know that this present world cannot continue. The evil is manifesting more and more. The Bible says that as it was in the day of Noah so it will be when the Lord returns to earth. People were going about their normal business not realizing that the end was upon them.
So it will be when the Lord returns. Because, they don’t believe He is coming back! But, Jesus said His return would be like a thief in the night. Unexpected! But, my dear friend, it is certain! It’s as certain as the flood of Noah was! It’s as certain as the fire and brimstone that fell on Sodom and Gomorrah!
How long before we see Jesus return? Well, I do not know! But, I can say for sure that we should all be ready. His promise is certain. And, we all know that physical death can come to us unexpectedly at any time in this present world.
Why stay distracted from the truth? Why not respond to the love of God? He has extended His grace through Jesus to us all. In the original world, they did not believe Noah when He said it was going to rain and the world was going to be destroyed.
But, they were not interested–staying in unbelief until it started raining. Then, it was too late! Don’t be ignoring the truth of Jesus. It is a dangerous thing to do. It is so dangerous simply because we do not really know for certain if we will have another opportunity.
We cannot be completely certain of how long we live here on earth! We’re all really just a heartbeat away from leaving! Many people have been suddenly taken out! Here one moment, and gone into eternity the next moment. It can happen so fast that there’s not even any time to consider if they are right with God or not!
The people in the original world perished. Every one of them except Noah, his wife, and their 3 sons and their wives. 8 souls total! Out of the total population of the earth. That was it! They arrived safely in the new world! Why? Because Noah believed what God told him concerning the end of the world as he knew it. And, he acted upon his faith in God’s Word and built the ark!
There are many things to consider about the way it used to be on earth so long ago. But, we can take heed to the truth of God’s Word to us now. Without any doubt, God will always fulfill His Word! The question always is, will we believe and act upon what He has said to us?” KF KenFletcher.org
