Matthew 21 KJV Verse 21 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”
We’re continuing our study of the Fig Tree Incident. It takes time to let some of these things soak in. We’re not in a hurry. We’re doing our best to be led of the Holy Spirit on which things to cover and when. There is such depth to the Words of Jesus here. He is showing us the application of our faith inside our soul.
Now, I have had the most success using and applying Mark 11:23 to my body for healing. I have not had 100 percent success rate on results on a few things. But, that’s my fault! I am making adjustments still. I am still dealing with a few physical issues that I have had for a very long time. They have not really been much of a problem for me, and they have not hampered me much at all. I guess one could say that it’s probably why I have not focused on them to eliminate them by faith.
But, I HAVE been healed by faith on numerous occasions over the years. Some healings very significant. The times I have successfully been healed by my faith in the Word is when I really locked in on what I was doing.
My basis and foundation for belief on God’s will about physical healing was the fact that, for many years, I have been absolutely certain healing was already paid for by Jesus. Isaiah 53: 4-5, Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24. I was solid in faith about His stripes were meant for me to be healed. It WAS His will for me to be healed! I was totally convinced from the Word! That was the rock where I stood unmovable!
But, even while I was attacked severely and suffering with permanent nerve damage throughout 2/3s of my body (just a few years ago), I totally believed that Jesus took my sickness and carried my diseases at the whipping post, as the scriptures teach. But, I was still so sick. Why? I believed in healing!
Well, praise God, my son sent me a video sermon from my former pastor, Keith Moore in Branson, MO USA. It led me to another video by Keith Moore. After watching that video of Keith ministering the Word, I realized I was NOT doing what Jesus said! Well, for a good while before, I had been praying hard with no results. But, through that video sermon, Jesus showed me where I was missing it. I should have known better!
I was not doing Mark 11:23! Just a few days later, after going over the video again many times and following along with my Bible, I began to speak to my mountain in faith! With my mouth, I began to speak to the pain when it hit me. Many times, it felt like an ice pick being shoved in. Sharp, sharp pain! Sometimes 2 or 3 hits of pain at the same time. In different parts of my body from my breast bone area down all around. Plus, I had a dull general pain in my legs.
I had lost over 60 pounds quickly because I couldn’t hardly make myself eat. I could not sleep. It was rough! My wife thought she was watching me dying. But, when I began to do Mark 11:23, when I began to speak with authority to the damaged nerves, things began to change.
As I said before, I started out speaking to the pain. Jesus corrected me and told me not to speak to the pain but to speak directly to the nerves where the pain was coming from. He said to me that the pain would show me and indicate where the damaged nerves were. I spoke directly to the nerves every time that I felt the pain hit.
Sometimes, the pain would stay for a good while even after I spoke. But I refused to doubt what I spoke. Every time, I did this! Around this time, I saw a commercial on TV that said, “Every Day Better.” It caught my attention. I said, Yeah! That’s me! Amen! I began to say throughout the day concerning my body. Every Day Better! That is what I believed.
In less than a week I began to notice that the frequency of the nerve pain attacks were less. They did not hit me as often. Each day, a little less and less in number of “hits” but still were the same in pain intensity. Each time, I would believe and speak to them the same. Until, in less than a month, the damaged nerves that had caused me so much pain and trouble, had ALL completely left me! I mean, NO PAIN! None! And, it’s still the same today!
I’m here to tell you that those messed up painful nerves in my body heard me speak to them! They heard what I said and obeyed! Just like that fig tree heard Jesus! When I would talk to the nerves, I saw within my heart a brand new perfect pink little nerve. Brand new. I figured, why believe to repair the ones I had when I could believe for brand new ones! So, I did! Well, it’s just as easy for God either way!
What exactly did I say to the nerves over and over? As the pain hit me and I gritted my teeth, I would grab it or point to it and say, nerve, “Be new!” “You’re brand new!” “You are normal and function normally!” I did not ask! I commanded it to be so! This is what I believed and what I spoke!
I believed I was getting new nerves in place of the damaged ones! And, I did! All I did after I spoke to the nerves was to make sure that I did not allow any doubt while I was standing in faith! I actually realized in my body what Jesus paid for. The doctors could not heal me. But, Jesus did! I understood that applying Mark 11:23 for healing for my body was based upon my faith in what Jesus did on the whipping post. It was all rock solid based upon God’s Word.
His blood was shed there for you and I for a specific purpose! So that we might be healed and well! We should be applying what Jesus taught us in Matthew 21:21 with the understanding that healing belongs to us! We can actually realize it in our bodies! It was purchased by Jesus with His suffering and bleeding for it. Jesus allowed those men to torture Him for our healing!
We have a right to be healed! We have a right to speak to our bodies to be healed! Jesus gave us the right! It is OUR FAITH that brings the will of God into manifestation! It’s OUR faith-filled words that makes it happen! It is what Jesus taught, demonstrated, and explained to us. Why? So we could know what it means to speak to the mountain ourselves!
Brother Kenneth E. Hagin did Mark 11:24. He prayed in faith. I used Mark 11:23. I spoke to the mountain in faith. It doesn’t matter. It’s the same faith either way! Either verse. It’s God’s prescription for releasing our faith. It’s God endorsed methods either way. Either way we can receive healing by faith!
I was now without pain anymore! I was healed. Praise God! But, I was still taking the pain meds the doctors had me on. I didn’t need them anymore! The Lord showed me how to just taper off of them. And, within a little while I was done with them too! All by faith!
The doctors were all shocked. They could not understand how I could be healed and free. I tried to explain it to them, but they struggled to comprehend. Nevertheless, I was rejoicing and praising God! My wife was too!
Is your case impossible like mine was? Those are the ones Jesus especially loves to do! Where only God can get the glory! Those are the best! What about a cold or flu or more minor stuff? Those are great to practice on. I have found on things like that, as I practiced my faith, the durations and intensity of the cold or flu were much, much lighter and shorter than they would have normally been, or I’m totally healed quickly.
Life here on a fallen earth in a fallen death-doomed body will certainly give you opportunities to practice your faith. Just a few weeks ago, I had some kind of lump come up on my left hand. It was over a 1/2 of an inch sticking up. Man, it hurt! My left index finger and thumb would hurt a lot when I would try and do something because of the lump. I don’t know why it was there, and I really didn’t care why! I just knew it was not supposed to be there, and I wanted it off my hand!
I believed in my heart and spoke to it according to Mark 11:23. From then on, I refused to doubt when it hurt. A few days later, it left sometime. I’m not sure when, as I just realized my hand was not hurting anymore! I looked down, and my left hand was completely normal as before! No pain! No cyst! Just gone! Praise God! I was so thankful!
I’m not trying to magnify my faith or put myself on some kind of pedestal. Are you kidding? I’m no special Christian better than anyone else! What I AM trying to do is help others realize and understand that the Word works! What I did by faith, ANYBODY can do! Jesus said so! You can do the Word like anybody else! If you believe and do it, you can have God’s results too!
In Matthew 21:21, Jesus said, “…IF you had faith, and doubt not,…ye shall say…” He does not say that we will have faith. But says, IF we do, we can do what He did at the fig tree! So then the beginning place is, as we discussed earlier, how to fill up with faith. How to become full of believing and starve the doubt out of us by meditating and speaking the Word. Filling up with the truth of God’s Word displaces the doubt out of our heart!
Your words are powerful! Your words locate you. Your words are the expression of the faith that is in your heart. Faith-filled words changes things! So, the main thing for us is changing the input of what is going into our heart. Because, out of our heart proceeds the faith that will change our situation to God’s will.
I realize that I am writing to many who may disagree with what I’ve said. It seems to me that, for some reason, I was privileged to be affected by the life of Kenneth E. Hagin. I am certain that I would not still be on earth if I had not come across his teachings and life experiences in ministry,
I have been affected positively through learning and understanding faith. In reality, it truly is a progression of growth. There is no stopping place or arrival. Each day we live, we’re growing in living by faith.
Friends, we’re just little children! Even the wisest among us! It is a growth of our understanding of faith. Learning how to do things the way our Father does. He’s pleased when we are doing things in faith. Over the years, I have heard scoffing and name calling of people of faith–people who believe like I do. All I can say is, the scoffers certainly have a right to believe what they want.
But, we are simply trying to approach the things in life in the manner that Jesus would. We are learners of God’s ways. God is a God of faith! He always has been and always will be! We are His children. Should we not imitate our Father?
Oh, I think we should! And, to learn is exciting! We cannot forget the command of Jesus in Mark 11:22. “Have faith in God.” Then, He instructs us how to do what He just did to the fig tree. Now, that is the truth of the matter!
It’s my heartfelt prayer that something I am writing may spark something in you to be a doer of God’s Word. Also, if you are faced with impossible circumstances, your solution is faith in God. Nothing is impossible with Him! We are the ones who limit Him in our lives. Through faith in what He says to us, we can see miracles! Jesus said so!
