Take This Whole World But Give me JesusĀ  Part 2

By Ken Fletcher

Greater is HE that is in us than he that’s in the world! We can do whatever the Lord says we can do by His power within us! How is it that the saints of old could be singing praises to God and forgiving their murderers as their own flesh burned at the stake killing them? How? Tell me? It’s humanly impossible to do that!

My friend, there is a power greater than our understanding that can come on us enabling us to do impossible things! Even as we are being killed! God is greater than the act of murder!

As Stephen was beings stoned, and the stones were hitting his body to kill him, what was he doing? He was looking at Jesus in His glory! Stephen was looking at the Lord Himself observing what was going on! Stephen, the first martyr of the Lord’s, was not even paying attention to the angry mob and the pain of the rocks hitting his body. His eyes were fixed upon Jesus! I wonder if he felt anything? If he did feel the stones, he did not pay any attention to them. Now, that’s amazing! So supernatural!

Greater was Jesus within him than all that was happening to him in the world. We all have the Spirit of God within us! We have supernatural ability within us to do ANYTHING we need to do in Christ! Anything! Jesus is our wisdom. In Jesus is our strength. He is our power. He is our ability!

We can choose to die glorifying God and forgiving people! We have more power residing within than we know about. Much more! We have power to live for Jesus and we have power to die for Jesus! Do you hear me? It’s all within us by the Spirit of God. We’ve got Him!

So, now it’s apparent, you have the spirit of this world–which is after the spirit of Satan (who is the god of this present world system). And, you have the Spirit of God in Christ. 2 different spirits! 2 different powers. 2 different families. One is against the other. One is hated by the other. This same spirit that’s in the world now is the same spirit that killed our Master without cause! They kill us believers for the same reason!

But, this world is temporary–doomed to destruction. And the spirit of this world is passing away and has already been judged. God will certainly deal with it all later. To stand with Jesus against the world is simply making a choice to be in God’s family and try to help others come into the Kingdom no matter what the world does.

Jesus has told us to be of good cheer because HE has overcome this world! And, all of us who are in Christ have already overcome this world also! There is nothing that we cannot do when we have Jesus! We can do whatever He says we can do! He is greater than our circumstances–no matter how dire they may look! Jesus IS greater!

We are never alone! He is with us and IN us all the time! So, whatever comes, we have Him! And, because of that, we can do anything He shows us! In Hebrews 11, the Bible says of those believers who were murdered for Jesus’s sake did so THROUGH FAITH.

They finished strong! They did it in the midst of impossible circumstances! How did they do that? By the supernatural power that resided within them! Enabling them to endure in spite of the outward circumstances! Now, THAT is power! Real Holy Spirit power!

Overcoming power! When you can sing praises to God, forgive and pray for those who lit the match, as the fire consumes your body! That’s real supernatural power from God! And, WE ALL have it! Every believer! So, no matter what they throw at us, no matter how bad, we have Jesus within who is greater than all they can do to us!

Greater, stronger, more power, that is what we have in our hearts. To do the impossible with Jesus! So, why do we fear? I’m sure that we feel the fear hitting us as the saints did. But, my friend, there is something more powerful inside of us, stronger, that overcomes the fear that attacks our soul.

It’s an overcoming power that comes from the Holy Spirt within our spirit. He rises up to secure us in our faith. This power of God causes boldness! It enables us to praise God and forgive them as they steal our natural world from us. But, no matter what they may think, we know, we’re the ones who made a good trade!

We just say, here, y’all can have this whole messed up world. I’ve got what I want! I’ve got Jesus!ā€ KF  KenFletcher.org
