“Because of wrong teaching for many years in the church about physical healing, many people are suffering needlessly. Jesus paid for us to be healed by the wounds He endured on His back (which scars He still has). His precious blood flowed. For what? That YOU and I might receive physical healing for our mortal earthly bodies.
Through faith it is possible to receive healing and restoration directly from the Holy Spirit within our spirit. Most Christians don’t believe this. But, even though it’s in the Bible, they have been taught wrong about it.
Many dear believers still think that it is up to God and His will whether or not they will be healed. The problem is, they never arrive at the truth when they believe that! What IS the truth? The truth is that God has proclaimed His will for us all. He has demonstrated what He has done to pay for our healing completely. What else can He do to show us what His will is?
He allowed the Roman soldier to torture Jesus right before He went to the cross. That was a substitutionary act, my friend. “by His stripes we were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24. His precious blood flowed! It’s already done! God has already proclaimed His will for us! There is no question! God has paid the price for our physical healing!
Now, it’s not His fault that we don’t believe it! Some will question Jesus, Lord, is it your will for me to be healed of this disease or sickness that is on me? Imagine. Can you see Him as the crewel Roman soldier strikes Jesus’s back with a jagged Roman whip? Jesus is looking at you as you ask. Another strike hits Him.
You are asking Him if it is His will for you to be healed? The Savior looks at you like you’re crazy! Are you kidding? He looks at you and He says, why do you think I am doing this and what do you think I’m paying for here? Should we not have enough sense to understand that He took those wounds for a specific purpose? Should we not realize that His will is being displayed for all to believe?
Then, as Jesus takes another vicious hit. He looks at you and says through His pain, everyone who believes receives the benefit of what I am doing! Everyone! God’s will concerning your healing has already been displayed for all to see and understand! The payment for our healing has been made in full! And, the Word clearly proclaims it!
It’s NOT about God’s will anymore! When It comes to our healing, it’s up to us to act upon His Word! It’s a faith problem! It’s OUR faith problem individually! He has provided healing for us all. Just like salvation! But, not all believe it and receive it!
And so, some do not believe it is FOR THEM personally, and, that belief short circuits their faith in God. Now, it is amazing to me how many people will argue about the will of God instead of just believing Him and receiving His provision.
People want to put off on God what is OUR PART! Our part is to believe His Word and act upon it. Most folks don’t get to first base in faith because they question the will of God for their situation. They may think maybe it’s God’s will for them to suffer with a disease or sickness to teach them something.
But, God does not have 2 or more wills about our healing. No! He has 1 will about it. And, He has already shown us what His will was and is! So, first of all, we must be solid on God’s will–no matter how bad something is hurting us. He has done something about it! But, we will not receive if we doubt that it is God’s will for us to be healed! Doubt will lock us out!
Everything we receive from God we receive by faith! And, this is no different! But, unfortunately, so many have been affected by wrong teaching from the pulpit and from loved ones or friends who don’t believe what Jesus HAS DONE! So, it comes down to a person locking in on the truth! And, driving ALL the doubt out of our heart.
Let’s understand, we act upon His word and believe we receive our healing BEFORE we feel anything different! We’re not waiting on God, He’s waiting on us! We need to connect to Him through our faith!” KF KenFletcher.org
