“Why is it that people do not believe God? Many do not believe that the Bible is God’s word. People don’t believe that Jesus was indeed raised from the dead. They do not believe the message of salvation. What is it? The Bible has been confirmed true over and over through many proofs.
Our problem is we are used to people telling us things that are not true. When it comes to what God has said and what God has done, we enter into it through faith. We either believe He is telling us the truth or we are calling Him a liar.
Real Bible faith comes from simply believing what He has said as true. We are fully persuaded that what God has said to us is the way that it is–regardless of outward appearances. Is He honest? Is He able to do what He said?
Well, real Bible faith believes that He can (has the ability), not only that, but real Bible faith believes that He is honest–that He WILL DO what He said. 2 things! He can (ability), and He will (honest and truthful).
When we hear His word, we have an opportunity to believe it. And, then because we believe it, we act upon it by faith! Believing God is greater than what we are facing. And, believing that He will do what He said He would do! Why? Because He said it! And, He cannot lie!
If something He said is not working in our life, it’s not His fault. When will we get smart and realize that the breakdown in our receiving is on our end? Not on His end! If something is not working in our life it is because of OUR lack of believing Him! We have a faith problem!
Because, it is through faith that we receive all the promises of God. It’s through faith! Through our believing! Believing what? What God has said about it. We’re not trying to muster up something! We’re not trying to storm the gates of heaven to get God to do something! We’re not trying to get God in the notion of moving in our life!
If we are not receiving what God has said, it is because we do not really believe what God has said about it. We do not really believe Him! There is doubt present in our heart! It short circuits our faith. Our faith connection is severed.
Complete trust and faith in what God has said comes from being FULLY persuaded that He has the ABILITY to do what He said, and He PROMISED to do it–He is honest to perform it in our lives. It”s not enough to just believe God has the ability and power alone. Faith in God believes that He wants to do it and that He will do it because it’s NOT possible for Him to lie!
Since Jesus has come and completed our redemption, it is now for us to believe that God HAS ALREADY done it! And, He has! We believe that He did it already, and we enter into His grace BY FAITH! We now have an everlasting covenant with God because, through faith in His grace, we entered in to it.
Since we are now in Christ, we approach Father directly–because we are in Christ. Our spirit is now One with His spirit. We enter in to our relationship by faith in what God has said about Jesus, His Son! Now we are in Christ, and we too are now His children because of Jesus!
But, all of what God has done is obtained by our faith. Remember friend, it is not through grace alone we are saved into His family. It is God’s grace through our individual faith that we enter in. Not through works (or our performance) so no one can boast. It’s only by God’s grace we are right with Him. It’s only through Jesus that we are right with Him.
But, many do not believe the message God has given. So, they do not know Jesus. I do not know how each person is before God. I only know what He has said about it. But, individually, how can another person know what God only knows about each heart? We can never know the whole truth of another person.
So, if they do not believe, it is a matter between them and God. It has nothing to do with me. It’s their own personal choice before God. Those of us who have believed have the joyful task to tell others about Jesus. To spread the good news to every one we can in this life. It’s up to them to believe it.
Faith in God is having faith in His character. It’s having faith in His integrity. That he said it. That He can do it or already has done it. That what He said He would do, He WILL DO every time. That it’s not possible He can lie about it. Totally persuaded. That is real Bible faith! It begins with a choice. Believing is a choice of the heart.
You can cry out to God from your heart. You can know Him. You can experience the joy of knowing Jesus. When you encounter Jesus, you will never be the same again. When you give Him everything, you have gained everything.
Jesus is all for you, not against you. He is all about your best. God has been given a bad rap by the devil and the world. Saying, God is against you. It’s a lie. God is not dishonest as those in the world. He truly loves you and wants the best for you and your family. He has given everything to have you. Jesus is God’s expression of love for us all.
God has moved in our behalf. He has moved toward us in love. It’s our move. Will we run away? Or will we run toward Jesus? God is honest. He said that He will not reject us no matter what we have done. He welcomes us into His family when we receive Jesus. Trust in Him right now! Why do you wait?” KF KenFletcher.org
