Inside Out

By Ken Fletcher

“There are lots of noises in the world today. All are in competition for our attention daily. It is so easy to allow what is going on in the natural realm to have our focus. It’s too easy! For all believers! We can be distracted from what we should be focusing on all the time. What is that? The Lord inside of our soul!

He should always have our focus. We believer are in Christ! We are ONE with Him in our soul! He should have our focus. He should be our priority in life! He should have all of us!

While the outer world is flip-flopping and turning all kind of directions, we have our Kingdom inside with Jesus! He should be our priority all the time. What pleases God? Our faith pleases Him! The more we can include Him in our all day-all night life, the more we are believing God! He is pleased more!

We should desire to please God with our life. We should live from the inside of our soul out to the world. I’m not talking about do’s and don’ts. I’m talking about living as one with Jesus as we are already on the inside!

Does it mean you and I will always do perfect on the outside? No! Because, we also have a body of fallen sinful flesh we are walking around in, and the mind of the flesh to deal with. None of us have perfect control over our fleshly mind, my friend. We all have blind spots!

No matter how much we have grown in our understanding of our union with God, we have areas that we are not aware of that need to be dealt with. Then, we grow some more, and find out more stuff that is not right. And, on and on. We are in union with our God of grace and mercy. We’re not trying to be. We are!

No matter where we are in spiritual growth. He sees our heart and knows what is really going on with us. We have nothing to hide with Jesus. Are we really living in faith? Or are we playing games–just wanting to do it our way?

God knows what is going on. And so, why do we not live before Him with transparency all the time? Many Christians live a life like the world does. You can’t even tell the difference. I’m not judging whether or not people know the Lord because it is always between them and God whether they reject Jesus or not. But, some folks, it is so obvious to other people that they belong to Jesus.

It is these folks who are living from the inside out. A life that is consecrated to Jesus is a life of peace and faith. It takes faith in Jesus to live from the inside out. You must believe that you hear from Him. You hear true from Him inside because you are totally committed and consecrated to do His will in your life.

You desire to allow Him to use you and direct the steps of your life. Since you know from Him that He has all of you, it brings confidence in your faith when He directs your life. You hear. You recognize it is Jesus. You believe and act upon His words in your heart. Then, you are living in faith! Faith in His word in your heart!

We should know the written Word of our Lord. We should study His Word. We should seek the truth about His Word. But, Jesus is still speaking! He speaks to us all the time! Some might say, well He doesn’t with me! Yes He is always sending His direction through the Holy Spirit to us! But, it is us that are distracted from His signals. When we focus more on our union with Jesus inside of our soul, we will be able to receive His directions and wisdom much more.

We can just enjoy our union with God. We can find out things from Him that we need to walk out in our life by faith! It’s all inside with Jesus! We are too busy doing what Jesus wants to do to be doing foolish stuff. Believers, real believers in Jesus, should simply live out what is on the inside of their born again spirit in union with Jesus! I believe it is that simple for us!

Our spirit (our soul) should be running the show in our being. If our soul is submitted in total to the Lord, we will accomplish His will on earth. He will be able to direct our daily steps. He will be able to impart His wisdom to the believer who seeks Him. He will give us His great thoughts. We will find blessing as we follow the Lord.

We will find supply in Him. We will find fulfillment from our heart. The way of the Lord is blessed. Our blessing comes from Him. If it’s good, it comes down from our Father in heaven to us! It is His good will to give us the Kingdom! When we have Jesus, we have His Kingdom!

We are co-heirs. We are joint-heirs. We have all that Jesus has! God has made it so for us! It certainly was not because of anything we did to deserve all of this! No, we all know how we have fallen short of God’s will.

We all know the ONLY reason we have the Kingdom is because of Jesus! That’s it! It’s all because of Jesus! And, we have Him now! Inside! Where we live together with Him in our Kingdom! It’s all on the inside while we’re here on earth. Let us learn to spend more time on the inside with Jesus.

I remember the time many years ago when I realized I was praying wrong. It wasn’t that my prayer was wrong. But, more of where I was praying to. I knew that Father is in heaven. And, I prayed to Him there. But, I had thought that He was far, far away from where I was. That part of my believing was wrong.

The Father dwells in our soul through the Holy Spirit. Jesus dwells in our soul by the same Holy Spirit. And, Jesus has made us One with the Father. We should not be praying to Father like He is far, far away. We are connected inside with Him! So, Father is so close to us!

We are instantly and constantly with Him always. And, when we pray, we should understand that He is within always. Yes, of course, we can see Him inside. The Bible says that we are seated next to the Father in the heavenlies. And, we are connected to the heavenlies by His Spirit within us!

So, inside, we are there with Father now! Instant with Jesus! All the time! That’s why. We should be living our lives from the inside out.” KF KenFletcher.org
