“God really does see and know what is best for us individually. We don’t! How can we? With such limited sight of the future and of our own very partial understanding! We can’t know what is best! But, we should know that God DOES! He created us!
Does the Creator know what He has created? Of course, He does! And, so, He knows what we can function best in as the future unfolds for us. He knows how to prepare us for what is coming. Jesus said, when the Holy Spirit comes in His Name, He would guide us into all the truth, AND, He will show us things to come! That’s the future!
So, we should understand that those Pharisees were blind with pride–and could not see the real truth. Satan had blinded their eyes. They wanted to stay in opposition to Jesus because of their selfish ambitions and fear they would loose their lofty positions. So, they stayed in their deceived condition.
Evil, is what they were, according to Jesus. Calling them snakes. And, He plainly told them that if they did not repent and believe on Him, they would indeed die in their sins! Which means they will die and be separated from God just as they were on that day when Jesus spoke to them.
They died in their sins as He said. Why? God’s only Son was speaking with them face to face. And, they did not believe Him of whom their scriptures spoke! They rejected Jesus. They crucified Jesus to get Him out of their way. They rejected Jesus, murdered Him, and God rejected them! They are just another world religion without a covenant and connection with God now. Empty and dead, like a used tomb. There’s no life of God there anymore! The axe has been laid to the root of the tree because it is dead!
70 years later, not one stone was left stacked upon another of their Temple. Completely destroyed! Just as Jesus had prophesied would happen before His death. That’s what God thought about their rejection of His Son!
Jesus gave His last breath and said, It Is Finished. The moment Jesus was killed on the cross, when He died, inside the Temple, the huge 4 inch thick curtain that separated the holy place (where the presence of God was), that curtain, was ripped and torn from the top through the bottom by an invisible force (an angel).
Signifying and proving that God no longer dwelt in a Temple built with mens hands, but now He abides in the Temple of the hearts of all believers in Jesus. He lives in our spirits! We are one with Him! We are His Temple! Our prayers do not have to go very far! He is close inside always!
To know the voice of our Lord inside is so precious. Jesus does not want us to live in pride. It is so easy to get into. We believers sometimes find ourselves in pride. Friend, we must quickly repent and get out ASAP. It’s a trap! A trap of deception.–Of ourselves, and of others. And, about wrongly perceiving situations we may be in. Or relationships. If we get into pride, it gives the enemy opportunity to set us up. Because pride brings us blindness of true perception!
Jesus wants us to live in the light of truth. That is why we look to Him for our way. For showing us how to approach things. We can wrongly perceive what is going on. What’s really going on underneath what we can’t perceive. Jesus sees it all bright and clear. And, we know He is after our best. And so, we trust Him with all. And, look to Him for our way forward.
We humble ourselves and earnestly seek Jesus’s way for us. Though we cannot see the future, we can see through faith in Jesus’s leading. There is no better way to go. We do not want to step into Satan’s traps he has laid. Or succumb to an attack he has brought. No! We are born overcomers in Christ! And, we are tired of being tricked into selfish pride.
We are humbling ourselves in front of the mighty hand of our Father. Who loves us and is always after our best. He wants to help us. He wants to guide us. He wants to be more of a part of our lives throughout the day and night. He wants us to grow up in our understanding of living by faith in Him.
