“How do we view our self? We must not forget that we are spirit, soul, and body. That is all of our consistency. We are much more than what is natural and physical. Actually, to view ourselves as physical is not the total truth and brings deception to our perceptions about ourselves.
How must we see ourselves? As Jesus and His Word has shown us. We are first and foremost an eternal spirit with a spirit body. Within our eternal spirit body is our soul! Our heart. Which consists of 3 main functions. 1) The mind. 2) The individual will 3) The emotions and feelings. What is seeing yourself in a real way? Understanding that the real man is the unseen man or woman. Unseen because we are eternal in the spirit realm.
Our soul is not our brain. Our brain is the physical housing through which our eternal soul operates. Our soul is who we are, not our brain and body. Our soul is the true man or woman. You are you with or without your natural body. We are eternal living souls in these natural physical bodies. How do we see ourselves? We should be looking out these windows we call eyes, and hearing from the inside these sound frequency catchers we call ears, etc., etc. The physical senses of our brain simply connect our soul (which is spirit) to the physical realm. God has designed and created us this way!
Believers, we should realize we are at home with Jesus on the inside all the time–day and night. We are instant with Jesus because He never leaves. To be more aware of His presence and thoughts, we must be more aware of the truth of ourselves. We cannot hear from Jesus with our attention always on outside sense realm perceptions.
Our perceptions should be deeper–past the changing things of this temporary world–to the real of ourselves–to our forever connection to Jesus! It’s there that we find truth. Inside! Where Jesus dwells.
How does He dwell there? By the Holy Spirit! His Spirit! Always abiding with us forever! Do we understand how amazing this is? We have only barely rubbed the surface! We can grow in our understanding of what we have with the Lord. He has done such an amazing work in us. Forever linking us with Himself. Sharing with us all that He has. His very life flows in us. We are in Christ. Every believer!
We are accepted and connected in the beloved! Our perceptions should be from the perspective of who we are in Christ and no other way. Because, it is seeing ourselves this way brings us to the truth. But, the influence of the outside corrupted world and our connection to it through our fallen physical senses gets in our way. But, if we stay committed to seeking Jesus and perusing the truth of ourselves and our union with Him, we can begin to grasp and understand how amazing our relationship is.
In the beginning, our race became dulled to reality of the brilliance of who we were created to be. We were deceived by the deceiver himself. There was no sin before. There was no dullness. Only perfection. Only excellence and brilliance. We operated as spirits through a physical earthly body designed by God to regenerate every 7 years.
We did not understand evil at all. It was not in existence. We could have asked Father God for more information about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We could have waited, asked, and received God’s wisdom. But, we didn’t. All He required of us was trust, and faith in what He said, and obedience to His commands. He knew the terrible results of our disobedience.
It was all a ploy of perception. The enemy waved a carrot in front of us. It seemed good. And, it seemed to bring something to be desired.–To make us wise. Only after, to reveal it’s true dark wisdom of cruel bondage, control, and separation from God.
The evil gates were opened. Sin came in. Death came in. Sickness and disease came in. Poverty came in. And, all the terrible hellish realities flooded into the perfect. Our very perceptions were changed. A darkness of understanding of reality of the spirit realm came upon us.–Twisting and blinding our perceptions of what is going on in the spirit realm–even though we are still eternal spirits inside of these fallen bodies.
How can we perceive ourselves correctly? As far as I know, the only way to perceive ourselves properly is by receiving Jesus. Through Jesus, we can begin to see who we really are. He shows us reality. Jesus is reality! And, when we connect with Him, we can begin to learn the truth about ourselves.
The enemy uses our dullness of spiritual perception agains us. He moves in the unseen realm. And, as always, his main thing is deception. This place we live in is like the movie, The Matrix. Only, in reality, it is much much worse.
The enemy is the god of this world. And he moves behind the scenes to accomplish his will. He moves through deceived people. They are his puppets. And, so he transfers his will to them and forces them to obey. And they do it because they fear what he can do to them and their family.
These people are in great bondage. And, they cannot see through the devil’s plans. They know they are doomed together with the demons. But, the reality is, they can turn away from him. Through Jesus, they can be free. But, do they perceive it? Do they realize what Jesus has done for them?
Jesus wants us to see things the way it really is. Not some twisted perverted view of who we are. But, it is my understanding that in our present situation in this fallen body we live in, that now, we must live by faith in Him. Which means, we do not rely on our natural understanding for our lives anymore. It means we rely on Jesus within our spirits to guide us into the future.
He shows us what we should do since we cannot see as we should. Why can’t we see as we should? Because we live inside of fallen earthly bodies and THAT is what brings the blindness of perception we experience. But, knowing Jesus brings us into reality of understanding our situation. And, knowing Him, we learn to trust in His leadership in our life!
I don’t know about you, but I want to know what is really going on. I do not like being deceived. I’ll bet you are the same. The good news is, we can seek Jesus inside for the truth. We can begin to understand our amazing and unlimited relationship with Him!” KF KenFletcher.org
