“Some of the last words Jesus spoke before He left the earth. He said, proclaim the good news to every person. He that believes will be saved. He who believes not is damned.
In 1 John 3:18, he explains, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
1 John 5:11-13 “11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”
Jesus brought to humanity God’s eternal life. The same life God has! We receive this life through faith in the working of God that He did through Christ. We believe the report. I think Jesus was pretty plain and direct about it. Don’t you?
Men and women make their own choices. Do they not? Yet, if men and women want to have God’s eternal life, they must believe in Jesus. Many do not. They do not want God. They have made up their minds about Him. They have rejected the message and truth that is in Jesus.
In light of what God has said concerning His Son, what can we do to help them? We try and persuade men and women to receive Jesus, God’s Son, for themselves. But, men and women have a will of their own. Do they not? And, they can reject Him or they can receive Him.
Many are under false beliefs. Thinking that what THEY think is correct about how things are with them. The world projects other so called truths that many have gravitated to. Believing lies, they reject the real truth about their condition before God. Condemnation rests upon them. Fear of death dogs them their whole lives.
Because, they do not really know what is beyond death. They hope they are right about it. But, the fear is there. The believer in Jesus is not condemned. The believer in Jesus has no need of fear in life or in death. Because, they have already received eternal life from God through faith in Jesus.
The fact is, everyone needs Jesus and His life. I told my wife today, I cannot imagine living and dying without Jesus. I cannot imagine it. But, so many people are! And, that is the tradegy about it all. I would not want to find myself in rejection of the eternal life that Jesus brought to us all. But, many choose to do it.
Nobody will be able to blame God in eternity for the rejection of Jesus. Nobody! He has plainly shown the truth to every person inside of them. If, at the judgement, they try and accuse God of not being fair with them, He will plop a video screen up there and show them and everyone else when they chose to reject Him.
No one will accuse God of unfairness in that day. In life, all make their own choice whether to accept His life or reject it. God is just and fair. He will do right then as He is doing right now.
He is extending His invitation to all men and women. Who will accept His invitation? Make sure of your right-standing with God. Know where you are with Jesus! In light of all these truths, receive Him today! Stop living in condemnation! Know where you stand with God.” KF KenFletcher.org
