“Most believers in Jesus suffer from false identity perception. We have been dealing with some of these false perceptions on the Know Thyself series and the One In Him series on The Road Of Faith Seminar.
As believers, we must focus on what Jesus has done in us. The world attempts to crowd into our consciousness. Pushing and pressing it’s agendas and priorities into our minds. It’s trying to displace the real eternal truths of our relationship with God.
Unfortunately, most believers are seeing themselves like the world sees them. We cannot see ourselves properly when we don’t believe what God says about who we are!–How we are joined with Him.–How we are seated with Jesus next to the Father.
To see ourselves properly as who we really are takes faith in God’s word. We know it is true because He said it! But, many believers don’t really believe what God says concerning who they actually are in Christ. To know this and understand this is big! It’s huge! Beyond imagination! But, do we realize it? Or, do we also have an identity crises of perception?
It is easy to fall into the day to day things of the material realm. But, it takes a decision of our will to focus on the inward where Jesus lives. He will always show us the real. He desires that we understand who we are now with Him. Our problem has been that we have been much too dull about what we have inside in the Spirit with Jesus.
There is so much more for us to attain to in our understanding. So much room to grow in what we can grasp in this life. Jesus dwells in every believer. If we don’t know who we are now with Him, we will just think and act like the rest of the world.
To know yourself, you must know Jesus. To know Jesus is to discover who you really are! This world is full of smoke and mirrors. There’s no substance in it. That which is on the surface is NOT what is really happening underneath. People put on a show of what they think you want to see. But, what is the real about them? Sometimes, it’s not too pretty when you see through the outward facade.
I want to know more about what I have found in Jesus. He has changed me and my understanding about our relationship. I’ll never be the same again! He has showed me that it is possible to hear His thoughts to me mind to mind instantly 24/7. He has shown me that it is His will for us children all to hear Him like this.
Some people, including believers, think I’m crazy. But, from what Jesus told me, I am not the only one who perceives His words like that in my mind. But, right now, I do not know anyone personally who does hear Him like this. But, really, it’s okay. He loves us all regardless. But, it is for our benefit that we should be this clear with Jesus!
If you are not hearing Jesus like this, it is not a difficult thing to begin to hear Him this way.
