“Have you heard about being led of the Spirit? Even when you have been taught the truth of being led by the Holy Spirit does not mean you actually are. What does it really mean? People have so many concepts. Religion gets in there and muddles things up in our understanding of what it actually means to live this way.
What is it? What does it really mean? Some think that one has to pray for a long time to “get in the spirit”. Then, you can be led. Others think that it is random, and one becomes aware from time to time or on occasion. Or many other concepts. I submit to you this: Every child of God can hear from the Spirit of God directly. Instantly. Clearly. All day and all night. Everyday!
We do not have to pray for a long time to hear from God. We can be led by Him all the time. But, do we believe it? Since so much teaching has been wrong in the church for so many generations, we are very cloudy on it. At the root of the problem is we don’t really believe we can hear from Jesus like that. But, what if you changed your thinking to the truth. And, that is, that you CAN hear from Jesus and the Father all the time.
Now, the reason for that is because we are joined with Jesus and the Father through the Holy Spirit who dwells in our spirits. That’s why! They are in us! We are in them! This is truth! This is Bible fact! It is reality within every believer! Because of the Holy Spirit in us, Jesus and the Father are as close as our own thoughts. Right now!
Well, someone says, why can’t I hear them? Simply speaking, you have been so used to listening to your own thoughts and direction all the time. You have not believed truly that thoughts could come right direct from God to your thoughts.
Now, you know in the world, there is a counterfeit focus on the mind–apart from God. The mind is also where deception takes place. Giving us wrong perceptions. We must qualify our thoughts before God. Humility, submission, and consecration or commitment before the Lord will bring you into a place of clarity within yourself. Understanding the practical application of God’s Word. His Word is truth. His truth is in us in person! We have the Holy Spirit!
We are joined with Jesus and the Father! One! So, we should be able to hear His thoughts anytime. Well, I know it is possible. And, I know it is for all believers. How many will actually do what they need to do to get there? I’m not sure about that. I know it is God’s will for all His children to understand He wants this with them!
But, what do they want? It may be something else. And, so they are not clear in their thoughts about what He is saying. I believe one priority we must have is doing what is necessary to get and to keep a clear thought to thought relationship with God.
This world is dangerous and deceptive. It’s the matrix!–A fallen world. We’re in fallen bodies connected to it. Can we be fooled and taken in? Most certainly! How can we ascertain the wise way to navigate through the dangers and pitfalls of the matrix? How can we know where Jesus wants us on any given time or day? By being led inside of our spirits–which means we can be in contact with the thoughts of God concerning our lives, we can know what we should do or not do.
I have found out that I do not want to go in any direction that Jesus does not want to go. I trust His ways. He sees all concerning me. And, I have faith in Him to guide me into His best for me. That is what I want. Not my best. But, His best! Being led by the Sprit in our spirit is the absolute best way to live every day. It is Jesus’ own Spirit that is fused with our perfect born again recreated spirit! That’s why we can hear His thoughts concerning us and our way.
He wants to be part of everything we are part of. He wants to experience WITH US what we experience. He wants to share His heart with us as we share our heart–our life! Exposure before Him. Giving Him all. Holding nothing back from His control. Willingly! That is the place where we can realize His clear thoughts conveyed right to our thoughts.
This is not religion. This, my friend, is relationship! Relationship with God! Who lives in us all the time! If you are not clear on what God is saying to you, then you should make it the top priority to get yourself where you can! The sooner the better! It’s like groping around in darkness feeling your way around vs. striking a match and seeing where you are headed!
Jesus will lead us. Sometimes I have to check with Him more than once to make sure I’m getting it right. But, that is just me not being sure, not Him. I do that because I want to be certain it’s what He wants to do. But, I don’t pray to do that. I’ve got Him right here! I just check inside. It’s that simple!
Do I ever wrongly interpret what He is saying? Yes. But, not very often anymore. I do not miss what He is saying very much now. Unfortunately, I have not met very many other believers who are in communication with Jesus like this. Yet, I know Jesus wants it with them. I don’t think it is something that can be taught. I believe it starts with an act of our will.
To give and yield everything, and I do mean everything, past, present, and future, to Jesus! And that is your will, your total life, all that you are, that you are giving freely to Him. It’s there, in this place of yielding everything to Him, that you will find a far deeper relationship with Jesus. It is here that people stop short. And, that is why they are not going to hear from Jesus like they could.
Well, everyone can do as they wish. But, I have found the gold mine of everlasting riches! It’s the unsearchable riches of Christ! I gladly cash in my 2 cents for His eternal riches! That is what happens when we give Jesus all that we are and all we have to use as He wills for us. We WILL hear Him! Clearly. He will always deal with us on the level of growth of understanding where we are.
He will see to it that we know what He wants to do. And, we should be excited to hear about it! Because it is amazing! Do you believe that? I am trying to stretch my thinking all the time. Sometimes, I am aware that I am still limiting Him. But, I think some of these things come with growth. We gain more understanding as we go along. So, we have more capacity to grasp His truths and live in them.
Though I have grown, I realize even more now how little I really know. I’ve got a very long way to go! But, I am encouraged. Jesus encourages me often. He is so kind! It is a wonderful thing to know Jesus. And yet, I have only just scratched the surface of this relationship and how deep it is! How miraculous it is!
The person who does not know Jesus thinks I’m crazy! That’s okay. Just leave me alone and let me live in la-la land then! (smile) I never want it any other way. Just more of it!
I want to see people come into what I have been trying to describe. This is for everybody who believes! Listen, this is important if you want to hear from the Lord as I have been writing about. Jesus told me that living these three things before Him, humility, submission, and commitment, were the three things that brought me here with Him. I did not know what I did to get me to this place with HIm. I did not realize they were there working before. He told me that was why. So, if bumbling ol’ me can stumble into it, anyone can! All I knew, on March 9, 2022, was I wanted Jesus to have everything of me!
To me now, this is the practical, all the time, everyday, instant relationship communication, thought to thought, mind to mind with Jesus! Why is this not normal with most believers? We are fused and joined in union with Jesus! All the time!
For someone to say otherwise is against scripture! It’s all true! It’s practical! All the time with the believer! So, where are you on this? Do you think I’m nuts too? Well, no matter.
