“For many years I have had an understanding what has been really going on with religion and believers. It’s tradition! Jesus said that tradition makes the word of God of no effect. The leaders can only teach the people what they know. Many of them really do not know Jesus. They act like they do. But, they do not know what it means to be Spirit led.
They may have much Bible knowledge. But, they do not know Jesus and how He really is. How can they teach others correctly when they do not know Jesus? They know dogma, doctrine and creed. They know what they have been taught ABOUT Jesus. And, they pass it on. But, what needs to be taught in the church is the truth of what it means to be joined in our spirit with Jesus.
Believers must learn to live from the inside out. From the new creation that is joined with God. To learn what it means to hear from Jesus directly. So many churches are emphasizing doing outward things to be a good Christian. When, it’s all about the inward to be able to come out to the surface in this life.
When a believer finds out what they have and who they are, the outward works will surely follow. Walking in love and faith is our nature now! It’s all inside. It’s who we are with the Lord. When we learn and focus on who we are inside with the Lord, it changes stuff outside. Growing in our knowledge of our union with Jesus is what we should be primarily about!
When our focus is right, everything else will come in line with God’s will. When our focus is right, we will live in faith to what is inside! We will walk out on the outside what we see on the inside!
The main problem with religion is it is focused on works. God is not focused on works. He is focused on our heart! What are we focused upon? Shouldn’t it be what He is focused on? When our focus and priorities are right, everything else will fall in line as it should on the outside.
We should not be works based but grace based. Because, God is grace based! To be works based means you must perform correctly in order to be right with God. It’s quite frustrating because we can NEVER perform good enough to have a relationship with a perfect God.
To believe we can achieve perfection through our own efforts is completely wrong thinking and it is futile. We needed a savior. And, by God’s grace, we received Jesus as our substitute and our champion! Who in His own self paid for our complete redemption with His own perfect blood.
This selfless act was what it took to make us righteous and without condemnation before God. Why? Because through faith in what Jesus did for us, we are changed AND joined with Jesus through the Holy Spirit! Joined together! One! There is no condemnation to the believer! Because of Jesus!
How can one work for such a thing as this? It’s obvious, we can’t! Ever! But, realizing the great grace of God toward us in our separated condition, we can approach God through Jesus our Lord! Completely without any condemnation, guilt, or inferiority, or any such thing!
We are accepted! We are loved. That’s who we are. That’s what we focus on! What we have with Jesus inside! We just follow what He wants to do because we desire to do it with Him! That’s what is inside! That’s who we really are! That’s what we focus on. It’s about us & Jesus doing what He wants together everyday!” KF KenFletcher.org
