“Some people may look at me as a religious person. Religious people may look at me as not very religious. The fact is, I’m not. I’m in a covenant relationship with God through Jesus. It is not a religion as some would label. But, since they don’t know Jesus, they have to put some kind of a tag on it, I guess.
But, I can’t say what another person has. What I have is a real everyday relationship and communication with God. I am in contact with Jesus and the Father all the time through the Holy Spirit. What I have is a family relationship. I am learning who I am in Christ. Every day I am learning more of what I can do. It always involves faith in His words.
What men cannot understand because they do not have Jesus, I have! And, the beautiful thing about it is, they can too if they want! But, many do not want Jesus. So, they may look at someone like me as strange because we have Jesus. Well, because of my faith in Jesus, I am no longer of this world. I used to be. But, He showed me the truth. And, I changed what I had believed before.
To have Jesus means you have the answer. The answer to what? Everything! The creator now lives inside of us believers who have Jesus! What does the unbeliever have? Really, there is no connection to God if they do not have Jesus. What, then, do they have? They have right here and right now. That’s it!
Every good thing comes from Father God. So, the good they are experiencing now is coming from Him to them even though they reject His Son Jesus. What will they have after they pass on? Nothing! In Jesus is everything good! If they reject Jesus, what is left for them? I don’t know in their case. That is a matter between them and God.
But, personally, I would not want to be in that position to find out what remains. What some call religion is nothing more than trying to get, and stay, right with God through our own efforts. Since God is perfect, this is not possible.
There is nothing we can do good enough to become right with God. Nothing! The realization of this fact must become paramount in our thinking. We become right with God through no other way except through faith in Jesus and what He did for us! That’s it!
What does that mean in the final analysis? In short, for us fallen humans, it means, Jesus is everything! In Him is our connection and eternal life in God. Without Jesus = no eternal life! Dear friends, this is where the rubber meets the road. Where are you really with God? Do you know Jesus? If you are not sure where you are with God, that means you are in dangerous territory! Make it plain to yourself and the demons! Decidedly, receive Jesus now! Receive His eternal life! Through faith declare you belong to Jesus!
The Bible says that everyone who calls on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Saved from what? Destruction! Saved from the devil’s domination! Saved from the destiny that satan had planned for you! Saved into God’s Kingdom! A transfer of families!
What this is, is the most important thing you can think about! The most important thing in life! Friend, get it settled now! Look to Jesus now! Give Him your life now! You have no guarantee about tomorrow–whether or not it will even come for you! Many people thought they would have more time and they are now in eternity. What will it be for you?
Well, as long as I am in this earth, I will encourage people to receive Jesus. People can be wrong about a lot of things in life, but, if they are on the wrong side of God because they have not received Jesus, well, things are not going to turn out so well for them.
Here we have this free gift offered from heaven by God the Father Himself. And, men will reject it because of various reasons–none which are good, by the way. They convince themselves that the Bible is fables and myths. Jesus really did not come back from the dead. This is what they believe. They believe all kinds of other things that seem to make sense to them as the way things are.
But, if they are believing something other than the truth of what God has given us, they will someday find themselves right where He said they would be in the Bible. But, the sad thing is, they were not open to the truth. But, closed their minds to what God has said in favor for what the world is saying. They made a choice.
So, what do they really have when all is said and done in this life? Without Jesus, they will have nothing. Not only that, but they will continue to be separated from God.–By an act of their own will. This is NOT what God wants for anybody. But, He never has wanted robots or “yes” men and women. He wants us to want Him by our own will. He wants us to love Him because He first loved us. Do you know Jesus tonight? That is the most important thing to know!” KF KenFletcher.org
