“There are a lot of things that are important in this world. Things we must pay attention to. But, the most important thing that we must pay attention to is God’s will for us. Many things are out of our direct control. Other people’s wills are involved. But, we have complete control of our will. What we say and do is up to us.
We must look inward, dear friend. Listen to our spirit! What would Jesus want me to do? Where does Jesus want me to be? Where are we going, Lord? To look to Jesus for our direction is our desire to do it His way, in His time and manner.
The wise person knows that His way is the best way for them. And, because of that, they willingly give Jesus the control of the direction of their life. These people who have tapped in to this secret are led by Jesus inside into His best.
Too many people want to do it their own way. Which is in the power of their own will to do so. Some take pride in the fact that they did it their way! But, was that God’s best? If we could talk to those who have passed on now after they did it their way, I’m sure they would give us other advice.
God did not make us programmed robots. We are eternal spirits! Born of God! So, we have the privilege to see God’s will in our lives by submitting our own will without reserve to Him. Some people have difficulty distinguishing their will from God’s will. Well, by giving Jesus your whole self in every way that you know is the start. Really giving Him all. Nothing in reserve or held back. Which means you give Him control to everything that touches you.
Looking to Him for His direction. Checking with Him to make sure He has all of you. Then, you will know the true from Him. Uncolored. Untainted. Uninfluenced by what you may want. Because, now He has control of what you want. You gave it to Him. My friend, if you want the true pure will of God for your life, you must give Him all.
Most Christians live in a partial will of God to some degree. Their own will is in control of a lot of things in their life. When we submit and commit to Jesus everything, we become one in purpose and one in direction. Why would any believer want anything less than that? When, that is the ultimate earthly experience and understanding? To walk with Jesus in His will for us. It does not get any better!
Why, oh why, do we settle for less in life? Well, I believe we have believed lies. That’s why! How big is God’s will for you! Bigger than you can conceive now. We are much more than we think we are. We are one with Him! The implications are beyond imagination!
Why do we not grow into more understanding of who we are with Jesus? The distractions of this present world? Friend, why don’t you surrender all you are to Jesus? Give Him control over everything! Let Him have it! All the cares and strategies, goals and purposes. Why not?
Really now, have you done such a bang up job by NOT giving Him everything? What about all that worry? And, all that other crappy baggage? Well, It can be different. But, it’s up to you.
