“Galatians 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” This is the new nature that is created in all believers in Jesus. This is who we are! It’s our nature! It’s what’s inside of all who are in Christ. Someone said, that’s a capital “S” on Spirit. That’s the Holy Spirit’s fruit. No. Jesus explained to us that He is the vine and we are the branches. Fruit is produced in the branch of the tree. So, the fruit of the (Holy) Spirit is also the fruit of the born again human spirit. The same life that is in the trunk of the tree flows into the branches. The fruit is produced through us! Here and now. But, do we realize that everything in the verse is in us now? We are created this way. It’s our nature. We must renew our mind to the thinking of God (Romans 12:2). How He sees. How He knows what is in us. We need to see ourselves flowing in all these areas. It’s in there, believer! Lets develop deeper spiritually by living in these new creation truths. Live from the inside out! That’s what we are supposed to do! Well, in order to do that, we must find out what is actually IN our INNER MAN! So, believer, even though you didn’t act like it earlier today, the fruit of the spirit is in your spirit. You can begin to yield to His Spirit inside and let who you are flow out in your life. All of those powerful attributes in Galatians 5:22-23 are you! Really! So, since you have them inside now, you don’t have to pray for them. You’ve already got them. Just ask the Lord to help you to walk them out and develop them in this life. As you do, He will. Living with our focus on who we really are inside causes us to live in victory! Believer, there is so much more to who you are than you have realized in the past! It’s my prayer that many more believers will understand the enormity of this amazing work the Lord has done in us.” KF
