“1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” The world believes the message of Jesus is foolish. They believe their world view is the proper and correct view. No need for Jesus, they think. Those believers in Jesus are clutching to foolishness and mythology, they say.
Yes, it is true that this message is foolishness to the world view of many. But, to us who believe, it IS the power of God to us! Those of us who have come into actual contact with Jesus of the Bible are never the same after. The message of the cross is death to the world, but life to everyone who believes.
No matter where you are in the world, the message of life has been extended. Openly. Freely. From God the Father. It’s the message of grace toward mankind. Though faith in Jesus. He died to carry our separation from God to hell. Jesus gave Himself to be crucified on a cross by evil hate-filled men in order to bring us to God.
As mankind’s substitute, He carried our sins to hell with Him. Jesus rise up from the dead victorious over death, hell, and His grave. God raised Him up with His mighty arm of power! Proclaiming His total victory over Satan and all the forces of evil. The new life of Jesus is available to all who believe. He is our redemption. He is our life. He is our wisdom.
If the world thinks this message of Jesus of the Bible as being foolishness, then all that is actually happening with them is they do not perceive reality. They think it is stupid. The very truth that brings to them unity with God and eternal life, is counted as rubbish and rejected. Why? Because they have covered their eyes when the light of truth came. And, they continue to do so. Because the truth never changes. Light never changes.
It’s each person who determines who they will serve. Who’s family are they in? If it’s not God’s family, then who’s? It’s the family of the fallen. The ones who are separated from God. What is really going on with you, friend? Who are you really hooked up with? Maybe you are confused about where you really are with God?
Know this, that He is near. Ready to reveal Himself to you as you seek for Him. Jesus is for everyone who believes. Eternal life is yours because Jesus has come for us all. Receive Him. Do not count what is precious as refuse! God has given you His best! Proving to you how much He loves you!
He wants you in His Kingdom. There is nothing keeping you from Jesus except you. Satan and the demons cannot keep you from coming to Jesus. They do not have near enough power. It is up to you what you do. God knows your heart. He sees the real about you. He knows every detail. Why not bring your life to Him?
Give Him all the misunderstandings. That which the world calls foolishness is precious to me! So precious is Jesus! So amazing is this message of life from God. I hope you will value what God values. God has sent us His own Son. Is it foolishness to you?
Do you understand all what He has done for you and why? Do you think what God has done through the cross is foolishness? What will you do with what God has done through Jesus? That is the question tonight!” KF KenFletcher.org
