“God does not respond to needs. In this present fallen world, there are many needs. No, my friend, God does not respond to needs. He responds to faith! So, what should intelligent people be doing? Since we have needs, shouldn’t we be focusing on building our faith in God?
Generally, people are lazy when it comes to faith. They would rather figure out naturally how to fix their need–looking to other people to supply the need. When, all the time, God would fix their need, and show them His solution for them, IF they would believe!
Are we as people so dull that we cannot understand what God has done for us through Christ? It surrounds everything that we are–spirit, soul, and body. If we are in need, where should we go first? Who should we talk to first about it? Do we believe Father is a miracle God or not?
Though we may not realize it, for us to look another place first is an insult to our Father. He IS the supplier of EVERY need!–IF we will stay in faith about it. He will show us the way to believe and receive from Him.
But, what I believe, and what you believe, may be different. If you are looking to man to help you and take care of you, you are looking in the wrong place! Father is quite capable of taking care of us completely! But, what do we believe about it?
Where are you looking today, friend? You and I should be looking at God’s word and finding out His will on what ever it is! We should be asking Jesus inside about it! First! Before we go in any direction! But, many people do not believe. And, therefore, cannot approach Him in faith–confident He will take care of the need.
What should happen first? We need faith first! Believing in God is what we need first! Placing our faith and confidence in what God has said, is what needs to happen. First!
In our modern society, people live off of one another. Especially in cities. We grow up being used to looking to others for our needs. But, as children of God, we have tremendous favor with God because we are in Christ. If we will have faith in who we are with God now, and faith in what He wants to do for us, we can learn to receive!
We CAN get into faith about it! Whatever it is! We CAN believe God about it! We can believe and stand on His word on it and receive from Him! Praise God! That is exciting!
Remember this fact, God does not respond to needs. He responds to faith! It absolutely is a Bible fact! So, in light of this fact, lets do what is necessary and get ourselves into faith! Wouldn’t that be the intelligent thing to do?
Let’s saturate ourselves with the truth of His word. So that we can get HIS direction about it first. So that we can receive from God what we need! It’s what He wants to do already.” KF KenFletcher.org
