“Worrier, what are you doing? You are not trusting God with your future. We’ve all been there and are tempted to go there again. But, why? Perhaps you have not given God your total life.–To do what He says. You CAN keep your life in His care.
What is worry? It is based upon fear. It is a projection of a bad future and outcome. It is faith in reverse. Fear and worry have torment. It eats away at you. Trying to get you to believe more bad is going to take place in your life.
Because thoughts are involved, feelings get involved. They try and convince you that more bad is coming. Trying to get you into depression and despair. Dear friend, you are believing the wrong thing! You must turn your attention off of the worry and give your life to God.
Give Him everything that you are. He is the God of solutions to problems. He is after your best. Do you trust Him with all you have? If you give God all that you are, then, your worries are over. Because, you have given Him all the situations and negatives you currently face and what is to come! He has them now, not you!
He is after your best, so as you keep your life in His care as much as lies within you, He will lead you into faith. He will lead you into His will for you. As your focus changes to Him, He will show you the way of success. He will not do your part for you. But, He will help you to do your part as you rely upon Him.
Remember, what seems impossible to us is possible with God. There is no one greater than Him. And, He will guide you into His best. What has to change? Your believing! Go to His Word the Bible and search out what He says concerning what you are currently facing. Find out His will on the subject. Fill yourself with believing of what His will is.
Begin to expect Him to show you what to do specifically. This works for the person who is truly submitted to God’s will. If we are not truly submitted, He knows, and then we know. And, because of that, it short circuits our faith and confidence in Him and in ourselves.
People play games with God in their own mind. Trying to make deals with Him. Trying to get Him to bless THEIR plan. What THEY want. The trouble is, if they really get what THEY want, it will be far short of what HE wants for them.
God does not play games! He sees through all of what we are! He is about reality. What He has done. What He wants us to receive and live in. But, we have a part to play in that He does not over-ride our will. So, it comes down to what we want.
Will we be wise to keep our lives submitted to His great will and plan for us? Or will we be dummies and insist to do our own will and plan? How can we know we are in God’s plan? If we are humble, submitted, and committed to Him in every way we know how to do. Then, staying in that place of complete yielding all day will produce spirit led living.
God is committed to guiding your life when you have placed it in His care. It sure beats worrying about stuff. There are things that face us that we may not have the answers to. But, Jesus does! And, because of that, He knows what we need to do to come out in victory. Real victory comes when we respond to, and do what Jesus directs us to do.
Faith believes in the word of God, and does it. Doubt and vacillating around the word of Jesus produces confusion. The circuit of faith is broken. But, God’s power is not! We must fix what the problem is! Our believing! Are we believing the natural circumstances that we are facing, or are we full of faith about what God has said about it?
Worry is fear dressed up in Sunday cloths. But, it’s still fear through and through. We must keep our focus on the everlasting truth of God’s word. Staying yielded to Jesus inside and doing what He says regardless of how we may feel is acting in faith.
I’ve lived in worry. I don’t like it there. I’ve been there too many times to talk about. It’s not a good place to be. But, I am learning to live by faith and not by fear or worry. I hope something I have written will help you to give your complete life to Jesus today. Leave worry and fear behind. Trust in the One who loves you and will guide you all the way!” KF KenFletcher.org
